Visitor The District 33N 2009 Walk A Thon will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2009. This year’s District Walk A Thon will again be organized by Zone and each Zone will identify the length and location for their walk and collect the pledges. Last year the District 33N Walk A Thon raised almost $19,000 to benefit Journey For Sight – Massachusetts Lions Eye Research Fund, Inc., which has since its inception provided approximately $28,000,000 to the various eye research labs in Massachusetts. This year’s goal is $20,000 – or more - wouldn’t you like to help? You can be a t-shirt advertiser, a walker, or you can sponsor a walker. If you wish to walk, a pledge sheet follows which can be downloaded and printed. Each zone’s Walk A Thon is chaired by the Zone Chair listed to the left. If you need more information, wish to be an advertiser or to return your pledge sheet and funds please contact the Zone Chair for the town in which you live. If you do not see your town listed in one of the 7 zones please be guided by the town listed which is closest to your home town or city. You can contact any of the officers listed below for further information. You can be listed on a Zone T-shirt for $100. Each walker who raises $50 or more will be given a t-shirt. All donations should be submitted by May 17, 2009 or make appropriate arrangements with the local Zone Chair. Checks should be made out to District 33N Walk A Thon. The weekend of May 16-17, 2009 has been declared Massachusetts Journey For Sight Weekend. We encourage you to support our 2009 Walk A Thon. All funds raised are committed to our mission.
